Written by main vocal Woohyun, Beautiful doesn’t skimp on the cheese. But by taking its cues from bombastic 80’s balladry, the song’s more generic leanings are bolstered by a sense of grandiosity that transforms the whole thing into the best sort of guilty pleasure. The surging chorus is especially impressive, layering the members’ vocals to create a sustained power that only grows as Beautiful moves into its ultra-dramatic middle eight. Sometimes all you want is a big, chest-beating sing-along, and Infinite tend to excel at this particular sentiment.
