The Truth Is (Shh!) (from Juloring Animal Detectives OST – 2010)

Earlier in this feature, I remarked on how unadventurous f(x)’s OST songs were compared to their album work. Well… I guess all it takes is a children’s animation to bring out that bonkers spirit. The Truth Is (Shh!) soundtracks kids’ show Juloring Animal Detectives and the song knows its audience. Shh catches the girls at their most energetic, performing in chirpy affectations that match the track’s bright, synth-fueled instrumental. It’s nothing to write home about, though the layered segue into the second verse sounds so much like Oh My Girl’s Windy Day (which this song pre-dates by six years). If nothing else, this is good clean fun.
