Song Review: L (Infinite) – What’s Not To Love

L - What's Not To LoveAfter their group reunion, the members of Infinite continue to pursue solo careers. Most of these releases have been well within their comfort zones, and for L that means gentle acoustic pop. His new album actually features a tropical dance track, but I would have been shocked if he had promoted something with that kind of bite.

What’s Not To Love (어떻게 널 사랑하지 않겠니) is infinitely (see what I did there?) pleasant — the kind of song you’d want to put on Sunday morning as you relax with a cup of coffee. Its acoustic guitar is complimented with what sounds like harmonica or melodica, giving the track a down home, back porch singalong appeal. L’s textured vocal works well in this setting, though the song doesn’t stretch him at all. From melody to production, it comes across as a holding pattern rather than a new page in his solo career.
