The Beginning Of Love (from Fallin’ Light – 2019)

I was surprised to see that I’ve barely played this b-side at all, yet I gave it a high rating in my own personal music library. Listening to it again, I can see why. This is an easy pop track, buoyed by an insistent groove and summery vibe. The chorus has nice lift and I love the touches of guitar that ornament the production. There’s a lot of texture to the arrangement and The Beginning Of Love builds to a satisfying climax. In some ways, it reminds me of a much more reserved version of Infinite’s excellent Wind.

  1. one of my absolute favorites! super catchy chorus and melody, that “love, love” post-chorus, the guitars, the rhythm keeping things running along, everything! much preferred this over the title track itself, if they switched fallin light with this i wouldn’t be mad at all
