Under The Sky (from Flower Bud – 2015)
Under The Sky is a fantastic example of how charming GFriend’s early music could be. It’s delicate in sound but muscular in execution, tying symphonic elements to bounding percussion and electric guitar. It’s also one of their must genuinely summery songs, far before they were going on about “sunny summers” and “fever seasons.” The verses lose a bit of energy when compared to the buoyant chorus, but you know a megawatt hook is always lurking just around the corner. I love the brass accents and ascending strings during the chorus. And extended guitar outro is also a very welcome touch.

I’ve always enjoyed this live of theirs.

So great to listen to a song that is 4 minutes long… A proper intro, wonderful bridge, 90-ish outro (slowly fading out…).

I like this one.
The post-chorus is great.
