With each release, I’m more convinced that VVS is some kind of psyop meant to test the limits of fans’ blind idolatry and the industry’s willingness to appropriate hip-hop culture. How else do you describe BOTTLE$? The moment its “chorus” first dropped, all I could do was laugh.
A song like this is difficult to review because I truly believe it’s a joke and if you listen to it with that in mind it’s really quite effective. However, jokes tend to have a short shelf life and aren’t something I want to replay over and over again. Once is enough for a song like BOTTLE$. I got my fair share of chuckles from the horrible lyrics and the incessant “b*tches and bottles” hook was left rattling through my head (get it out!), but when it comes down to it this track deserves an awful rating. I imagine VVS would be pleased with that, too. After all, it fits their whole tacky schtick!

I believe only two of the older members sing that song, and the guy stresses in their podcasts that the one minor in the group wouldn’t be involved in such activities.

Even as someone with certified questionable music taste who kind of enjoyed Purrfect, I couldn’t get past 30 seconds into this song before I had to turn it off. Surely all this experimenting at the boundary between noise and music will lead to some amazing art down the line, right? We can only hope
