There are a number of acts who have debuted in the past few decades and have dozens of song ratings on this blog. I thought it would be fun to lay these ratings out in chronological order, line-graph style, and take a macro view of their careers so far. Then, similar to my “Underrated K-pop” features, I can average their ratings into one mega-score and place them in a pantheon alongside other acts.
As always, this feature has some rules of its own. I’m including any “Song Review” ratings as part of this graph, including Japanese releases and collaborations with one other artist. I’m not including Buried Treasures or solo/sub-unit releases. For the ratings themselves, I’m using the most current number on this blog, so if a song was part of a “Risers and Fallers” or “Legendary Songs Inauguration” post, that’s the rating you’ll see displayed here. That means there will still be a few ratings here and there I find slightly inaccurate, but it’ll mostly reflect my up-to-date feelings.
Finally, these scores are completely subjective. Feel free to agree, disagree and argue (that’s part of the fun!), but know that this chart reflects the opinion of only one person (me).

So I see Fifty Fifty suffers from the same problem as P1Harmony does: a couple hits during their early career, but after that, have been releasing mild, inoffensive songs with that one song tanking down their average from a Middle of the Pack to Non-Starter.
Sigh, Lovin’ Me will always be their best song. SOS also grew on me cause it was on loop for days at one point

Also, Nick, they also released a “special clip” of their b-side Gravity (from their Love Tune album), which is basically an MV imo, so would that count in your average? Considering even Starstruck was labelled as a “special MV”

tbh, between Cupid and Starry Night they have become almost a completely new group with the whole Everything that happened, so… i suppose the difference in their sound reflects that pretty clearly to the point of even on this blog being two distinct eras

This is the most egregious example of how one very lowly rated song can drag down a rating. A consistent stream of 7.5-8 rated songs, averaging to 7.72 and then Skittlez comes in bringing it to 7.3, those sub 6 ratings can be a real deal breaker!
Cupid though, still holds up man, it was fun seeing it become huge internationally, it was a great underdog story for the group! Shame what happened after, think they might’ve just had that hit but would’ve loved to see if they hit it big without the controversy..
