K-Pop A-Z: Infinite – Come Back Again

One song. Every day. Alphabetical order.

Come Back Again (from First Invasion – 2010)

As with many k-pop acts, Infinite’s debut offered a sound they would rarely revisit. Crafted by producer Hitchhiker (more often known for his work with SM), Come Back Again’s iconic funk guitar riff frames a percussive blast of aggressive dance pop that would make Michael Jackson proud. Its structure takes a more angular approach than much of the group’s later material, with rapid fire verses pitched halfway between hip-hop and pop. But that rousing, chant-along chorus is pure Infinite, and has become forever tied to their live show encores. It may be a bit of a red herring in their discography, but Come Back Again’s blast of youthful energy was the perfect showcase to unleash Infinite into the k-pop world.

  3. I’m on a bit of an Infinite throwback again. This is still one of my favourite songs of theirs, even if it’s not that representative of the rest of their discography.
