As Infinite’s original fan song, With holds a special place in their discography as a dramatic, emotional closer to their 2012/2013 concerts. As a simple pop ballad, it has a satisfying heft to it, made only more galvanizing by the climactic addition of electric guitar. But the song starts tentatively, backed by a classic 80’s power-ballad build-up buoyed by gentle keys. This slow-burn approach pays off by lending greater spotlight to the brilliant series of power notes unleashed by main vocal Woohyun during the song’s final moments.
