24/7 (from Don’t Mess Up My Tempo / Love Shot – 2018)

24/7 rest largely on its titular hook. Even the instrumental revolves around the same melody. Because of this, the song is a little repetitive for my taste, without enough variation in dynamics to make that repetition exciting. On the plus side, the track teases out a variety of vocal performances from the guys, moving from breathy to falsetto with crisp polish. Unfortunately, the languid instrumental doesn’t feature the same sense of diversity. Even as Chanyeol and Sehun enter for a standout rap verse, the track just meekly supports it.
