The full title of this song review looks like a mathematical equation, revealing the complicated nature of the sprawling tripleS project. Touch+ is a b-side track from sub-unit +(KR)ystal Eyes, featuring member Sohyun who will be part of upcoming sub-unit LOVElution. Make sense?
All these parentheses and plus signs belie the fact that Touch+ is a pretty simple K-pop track with light new jack swing influence. It sounds like a GFriend b-side, or Apink at their most innocent. This style will always appeal to me, though Touch+ doesn’t bring anything new to the formula to help it stand out. It’s a pleasant pop mid-tempo performed with a bright, youthful touch. The swinging percussion is a highlight, especially when the track pauses for the occasional breakbeat. The melodies are too hazy and ephemeral to stick, but the overall vibe is quite enjoyable.

Your daily dose of Christian Girl Kpop. It’s nothing new, but that reminded me of the days early into Kpop. Guess if you’re a sucker for the sound, you’ll stick with it.
Really a pleasure to hear this in 2023.

I felt them too uncoordinated to be reminiscent of G-friend, but it’s a nice sound.

I always liked GFriend-type music. tripleS might not have the same power as GFriend when it comes to vocals, but I love their branding.

Far closer to Apink than Gfriend.
Maybe a very weak Lovelyz song? But really, just Apink

Can music get any blander? I didn’t like their other song, either. Much prefer AAA’s style.

I like the lyrics! The Sohyun verse is hmmmm…. but at least it doesn’t exist on the initial song on streaming services so it’s nice.
As a bside this is nice. So glad to see this track got an MV and will be promoted on music shows too.
