THIS WEEK IN K-POP: Ranking the New Releases from March 30 – April 5

At the end of each month, I compile my top three K-pop title tracks and list a ton of honorable mentions. In 2025, I thought I’d try something new and add a weekly feature to supplement my monthly round-up. Each Sunday, I’ll offer a compendium of the week’s new releases featured on the blog. And even more than that, I’ll attempt to rank them from my least-to-most-liked. I invite you to share your own rankings as well. The comments section of these posts is also a great spot to discuss anything that has happened in K-pop during the week.

Make sure to click on the title of any release to read the full review and see its initial rating. Consider this your one stop Bias List shop each and every Sunday!

  1. All My Poetry has been growing on me with each listen, and I enjoy the entire album too. the effort that their team put in is very apparent and I hope they all should be proud of themselves

  2. Well, this week was… alright. xikers was definitely the biggest disappoint, especially considering it was their first ever comeback as 10 members after 2 years and making the album’s worst track the title track when there were better options is probably the ballsiest, on-some-sort-of-crack move to do (I mean, even Treasure did that with Bona Bona).
But Highway and Rock Your Body are really good and I’m glad to see them get highlighted here (lowkey wished for a Buried Treasure for Highway ngl), I just hope the former gets promoted as well. Also, I wonder how’d you rate those two tracks? They are respectively an 8.5 and 8 for me.

Anyways, enough yapping, here’s how I’d rank the songs (the ones I listened to):
1- Unfreeze (Tempest) *song of the week*
    2- Sign (izna)
3- All My Poetry (Close Your Eyes)
    4- Come Over (Le Sserafim)
    5- Adult Swim (Kai)
    6- Breathe (xikers)

  3. I’ve been pretty much listening to nothing but Kis-My-Ft2 this week. I should probably slow down, or I’ll wear out Yummy and Music Colosseum too quickly.

  5. I’m glad How to Dance by Close Your Eyes was mentioned, it’s probably my favorite song on the album. Its wistful, breezy vibes remind me of Badder Love and Love Like That by Evnne. I wouldn’t mind if their next album was mostly like this since it’s a brighter and poppier sound but still very much in their wheelhouse.
