Song Review: idntt – All I Need

K-pop’s 2026 may not have delivered much of note so far, but it has given us a steady drip of new music from the expansive boy group project idntt. This is their third song I’m writing about this year (fourth if you count a “buried treasure” post). I guess having so many members and configurations lends itself to a prolific output.

Within their discography so far, All I Need feels like a pleasant little blip. It’s not much more than a “vibes” delivery method, offering the subdued, muted sound palette favored by so many artists these past few years. Yes, there’s a dance beat underpinning the whole thing, but it has very little presence. As a whole, the production feels drained of its color — almost as if it could be stock instrumentation. And rather than stretch itself to become anything memorable or unique, the song structure is a combo of chanted sing-talk and errant fragments of melody. It’s all very palatable, but does little to capture and maintain attention.

  1. Maybe their people are just trying to flood the zone. Cover all their bases. and a dozen other sports references.

As I said on a previous review, for a group whose name is pronounced “identity” they sure don’t have any particular identity.
