Rookie group KEYVITUP is now on their third music video from their debut EP. I haven’t been a fan of much from them yet, and calling a track “legendary” is only setting listeners up for disappointment. The word legendary is thrown around too cavalierly in my opinion and certainly doesn’t apply to this song.
Rather than “legendary,”” I suppose this is fine. It has some enjoyable moments, particularly during the verses where the guys sing over a gurgling hip-hop beat. The pre-chorus also does a nice job briefly spiking interest, but at Legendary‘s heart is a non-event of a chorus. Interesting sweeps of vocal harmony usher in this segment, but they’re in service of a momentum-killing hook that relies too much on talking to be effective. Without building to any notable crescendo, Legendary slinks by without making waves. I suppose it works as an exercise in branding, but even then this is a tropey declaration every other hip-hop focused boy group has already made several times over.

It functions fine as a bside. It has its charms but isn’t the kind of stand out track that would attract new fans.
I’d say 7,8,7,7 = 7.25

I love it! I actually added it to the playlist before the TT. The TT grew on me a lot. Fun kpop is my favorite Kpop. 8.5 for me
