There are a number of acts who have debuted in the past few decades and have dozens of song ratings on this blog. I thought it would be fun to lay these ratings out in chronological order, line-graph style, and take a macro view of their careers so far. Then, similar to my “Underrated K-pop” features, I can average their ratings into one mega-score and place them in a pantheon alongside other acts.
As always, this feature has some rules of its own. I’m including any “Song Review” ratings as part of this graph, including Japanese releases and collaborations with one other artist. I’m not including Buried Treasures or solo/sub-unit releases. For the ratings themselves, I’m using the most current number on this blog, so if a song was part of a “Risers and Fallers” or “Legendary Songs Inauguration” post, that’s the rating you’ll see displayed here. That means there will still be a few ratings here and there I find slightly inaccurate, but it’ll mostly reflect my up-to-date feelings.
Finally, these scores are completely subjective. Feel free to agree, disagree and argue (that’s part of the fun!), but know that this chart reflects the opinion of only one person (me).

Just an 8.25 for Sleepless Night? That’s my favorite by them, a total 10 in my book.

I feel like everyone loves hurt locker more than I do, its one of my least played tracks by them besides their disbandment song
But it’s a shame they were so mistreated and mismanaged, they should’ve been bigger than they were and had more opportunities to churn out bops
the amount of companies with great A&R and awful management is truly fascinating

No Playboy is a complete bop. not a 10 but so enjoyable to listen to every time.
Figaro to Wild are 10s for me, along with Glue, Hurt Locker and Sleepless Night. insane singles run.

There’s underrated girl groups, and then there’s 9muses. Their discography remains one of the absolute best in all of k-pop, and it’s a shame they never achieved any significant commercial success despite churning out great song after great song for years.
My favourite 9muses’ song is hands down Figaro. I love LOVE that song, and, this is really random, I would kill to hear aespa cover it.

okay, here are my thoughts:
no play boy is kind of there, it’s okay but not interesting.
but then we get into the imperial phase of 9muses..(spoiler: it’s the rest of the songs)
Figaro, Ticket, Dolls, Glue, Wild, and Hurt locker are all 10s (yes, even hurt locker! the song that nobody seems to like much except Nick 😔)
News and Gun took some time to grow on me (especially News) but i’ve come around to appreciate and love those songs. I mean, Gun’s hooks! they’re amazing! I’d say they’re at least a 9, maybe even mid-9s.
Drama is great (I really like the opening rap!), but not 9 level, I’d say maybe an 8.75
Sleepless night, remember (2017), and love city are probably mid 8’s
yeah, disbandment remember is your average disbandment track, so whatever..
