There are a number of acts who have debuted in the past few decades and have dozens of song ratings on this blog. I thought it would be fun to lay these ratings out in chronological order, line-graph style, and take a macro view of their careers so far. Then, similar to my “Underrated K-pop” features, I can average their ratings into one mega-score and place them in a pantheon alongside other acts.
As always, this feature has some rules of its own. I’m including any “Song Review” ratings as part of this graph, including Japanese releases and collaborations with one other artist. I’m not including Buried Treasures or solo/sub-unit releases. For the ratings themselves, I’m using the most current number on this blog, so if a song was part of a “Risers and Fallers” or “Legendary Songs Inauguration” post, that’s the rating you’ll see displayed here. That means there will still be a few ratings here and there I find slightly inaccurate, but it’ll mostly reflect my up-to-date feelings.
Finally, these scores are completely subjective. Feel free to agree, disagree and argue (that’s part of the fun!), but know that this chart reflects the opinion of only one person (me).

Oh man, such a big drop for the single “Devil”, it still hold a sweet spot in my playlist due to one single reason – the playful synth underlying during the chorus (same goes to TT by Twice).
I still remember it’s the first time I witness an in-depth discussion regarding the song in this blog – though I did not participate on it coz I’m not a tech savvy to know how to leave a comment.

And I like that such a big rise for “High Heel”, you’ve rated it so low last time, Nick! 2016’s K-Pop is just way too competitive and the song during the era (should I use the word “era” now? it just a decade away) is so upbeat, chorus-focused compare to now.

Probably the most surprising graph yet! That sea of 7’s… I think almost every song here is worthy of being raised by 1 point lol. They managed to pull off girl crush very well, Black Dress, No, Me, Hobgoblin and Helicopter, they had lots of bangers.

this is a group where I rate many songs 8.5, but it’s still average…
Off-topic, I just listened to the song Goals by Lisa from BLACKPINK, Anitta, and Rema, and omg, some thoughts: Why do they almost always feel the need to include a Rio de Janeiro funk beat in every collaboration with a Brazilian artist? I’m saying this as a Brazilian: it’s not something that completely turns me off, but it’s very exacerbated. The lyrics are also quite superficial

CLC’s “No” is a big YES for me – a 10, a K-pop classic.
