Purple Kiss are intent on keeping summer going throughout September, making a sharp turn and releasing their frothiest, most upbeat track yet. They’ve gone down the funky route before, but 7HEAVEN is downright ebullient. As a fan of big, summery dance tracks, this is music to my ears. Why not keep the party going all year long?
7HEAVEN is at its best when it keeps its tempo brisk and its melodies bright. Its chorus (and post-chorus) are instantly appealing, even if the sound feels a bit generic. The producers nail the shift into verse two, keeping the percussion chugging along to support the rap. This quickly segues into K-pop’s perfunctory trap breakdown, but the segment is mercifully short. I’m more enthused by the fizzy synth breakdown that sets up 7HEAVEN‘s final chorus. More of that, please!
After whisking us into the track with a breezy energy, verse one pulls back too strongly for my taste. The first pre-chorus feels especially predictable, slowing the tempo before we blast into the chorus. 7HEAVEN is a definite success, but could have become even more potent with a taut, all-killer no-filler arrangement.

I’m surprised to see so many people don’t like PK, Zombie, sweet juice, and autopilot were all great songs imo

I really appreciate them and I see the appeal. However I just don’t find myself returning to their tracks often

Yeah, this feels underwhelming for me. As someone who loved both Nerdy’s chaos and Sweet Juice’s seductive build, what does 7Heaven offer that makes it unique? The electronic breakdown near the end, but even that doesn’t make too much of an impact, unfortunately.

I’m pretty sure they just rushed something out to capitalize on the popularity of a reality show one of the members was recently on, Queendom Puzzle. Not as impactful as some of their other songs imo but still a nice listen

Might be their weakest title track yet.
Massive disappointment, but let’s hope it at least manages to land them some more fans/better sales.
