Earlier this year, I was impressed by a Japanese b-side from CRAVITY, but the group hadn’t yet released an original J-pop single. That changes with Dilly Dally, though it feels more like a Korean comeback that just happens to be performed in Japanese.
Dilly Dally‘s pop/rock sheen builds naturally upon September’s Ready Or Not, and that’s not all the two songs have in common. Both feel like rather generic stopgaps in between more exciting releases. With so much new music coming out every week, it would be nearly impossible to consistently stand out. However, this track feels inconsequential to the point of being forgettable. Apart from the “no dilly dally, gotta hurry up” hook (which is fun in a kind of dumb way), I can’t remember anything about it. And that’s after playing the song several times in a row!

This is not a bad song at all yet you’re right, somehow it’s forgettable. It’s definitely not their best but certainly not their worst.
also, it’s kinda weird and funny that I didn’t realise until I checked Spotify that this wasn’t in Korean even though I’m Korean.

As a fan I have my problems with it but it’s still enjoyable for me. The English line in the pre-chorus is weird, the beat doesn’t hit as hard as I want it to, but hell the times that hook has been stuck in my head during the past 24 hours has been too many to remember.

Geez, how much new music has Cravity been releasing this year? I’m hoping the guys are taking it easy.
As for the song… It’s pleasant, but I do agree with you and the others here on how forgettable it is (especially compared to their other bright-er songs like ‘Groovy’).
Also something about the chorus’ “Dilly Dally” line reminds me a bit of Golcha’s DamDaDi chorus, but less energetic. Could just be me haha
