NTX debuted all the way back in 2021, though their under-the-radar career may have passed many by. Releasing one title track per year hasn’t been a winning formula, even if much of the music has been decent. Most recently, Holy Grail tied a so-so song to a very cool instrumental. New single Problematic struggles on both fronts.
To be brief, there’s just not much of a song here. The chorus — if you can call it that — is composed of disjointed shouting and chanting. It’s gruff and intimidating but fails to find any memorable form. It’s more of a time-filler than a highlight, underlined by an inert beat that doesn’t help elevate the segment. Problematic‘s rap verses are more memorable simply because they pulse with energy, but the song as a whole feels aimless and a bit silly.

I sense potential in the instrumental drop of the chorus. If bumped up with a bit more oomph to it, I’d prolly give production a 8 or 9. But it sounds too subdued. Not something I’d bother listening to again, will prolly forget it even existed.
Rating’s the exact same.
