It’s You (from Time For Us – 2019)
I find GFriend’s second album pretty hit-or-miss, and this unfortunately falls into the latter category. The song is just not that interesting, trudging along an uneventful mid-tempo groove that blends muted synths with trap percussion. It’s not what I expect (or want) from GFriend at all, making this an easy skip and one of my least favorite songs from their catalog. Apart from their always-gorgeous vocals, there’s just nothing to grab onto here. It’s the pure definition of album filler.

Melodically, this chorus is one of my favorites of gfriend’s bsides. Blended with one of their nicest vocal performances, this is really one of my favorites. So funny how different tastes can be!

It’s also one of my favorite tracks from Gfriend’s discography. It’s so emotional, and its a song that conveys a heartfelt story. Because of how much I love this song I was also surprised by the review, but yeah music tastes can be very different.
