Vacation (from Sunny Summer – 2018)

Songs with titles like “Vacation” tend to be fun since they’re seeking to replicate the joy and excitement of being away from home and normal responsibilities. This Vacation equates itself well, though it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect from the style. The sound actually echoes trends from K-pop’s first generation, employing a light reggae influence with bright synths and bubbly energy. It works well on a summer playlist but isn’t something I’d seek out in a different context.
