Wheel Of The Year (from Walpurgis Night – 2020)

Prior to their upcoming reunion, Wheel Of The Year was the final song in GFriend’s discography – at least if we’re going by track order. It’s a fitting denouement, offering sentimental melodies over an instrumental that melds strings, surging percussion and even a bit of country influence. This blend works very well and buoys a song that’s pleasantly safe in all other ways. I especially like the layered vocal arrangement that closes out the track. It has a very cinematic vibe.
