THIS WEEK IN K-POP: Ranking the New Releases from April 13 – 19

At the end of each month, I compile my top three K-pop title tracks and list a ton of honorable mentions. In 2025, I thought I’d try something new and add a weekly feature to supplement my monthly round-up. Each Sunday, I’ll offer a compendium of the week’s new releases featured on the blog. And even more than that, I’ll attempt to rank them from my least-to-most-liked. I invite you to share your own rankings as well. The comments section of these posts is also a great spot to discuss anything that has happened in K-pop during the week.

Make sure to click on the title of any release to read the full review and see its initial rating. Consider this your one stop Bias List shop each and every Sunday!

  1. So far, April has proved to be a lukewarm month, with no major musical events to arouse my enthusiasm – perhaps that’s why my presence here has been less frequent. The only noteworthy exception was the debut of AXN, the new solo artist from The Eye Entertainment, who, although outside the K-pop universe, presented an exciting artistic proposal. Her track On My Way, an electronic pop song with a dense atmosphere and contemplative melody, has so far become my favourite of the month. For the rest, I’m still waiting with high expectations for the return of TWS, whose track Countdown has generated promising anticipation

  2. What would you (arbitrarily) rate these poppop mini album b-sides? I wanna say from mid-7s to 8.25 (since we’ve established a buried treasure entry is minimum an 8.5).

I agree that 1000 is a faller a week in. The chorus is cute (some members were digging it when they were asked for their b-side of choice, so their excitement was infectious). But the more I listened to Design, I jumped ships! My personal, non-MIMP b-side of choice would be Silly Dance. I cannot get it outta my head. Key changes really do smth!

  3. hi nick! i have a question. when u said that u had like 4k songs in ur itunes playlist, does that mean u buy all those songs? because apple music is free if u have premium but in itunes all songs must be purchased individually. question is abit stupid haha.

  4. I have nothing this week. That would be depressing except that I had the chance to see a few Kbands and discovered a chunk of tracks that kept me entertained.

    Day6 – HappyHappy / Letting Go

    CNBlue – 99% / Racer / To My Love

Onewe – Kiss in the Rain
