There are a number of acts who have debuted in the past few decades and have dozens of song ratings on this blog. I thought it would be fun to lay these ratings out in chronological order, line-graph style, and take a macro view of their careers so far. Then, similar to my “Underrated K-pop” features, I can average their ratings into one mega-score and place them in a pantheon alongside other acts.
As always, this feature has some rules of its own. I’m including any “Song Review” ratings as part of this graph, including Japanese releases and collaborations with one other artist. I’m not including Buried Treasures or solo/sub-unit releases. For the ratings themselves, I’m using the most current number on this blog, so if a song was part of a “Risers and Fallers” or “Legendary Songs Inauguration” post, that’s the rating you’ll see displayed here. That means there will still be a few ratings here and there I find slightly inaccurate, but it’ll mostly reflect my up-to-date feelings.
Finally, these scores are completely subjective. Feel free to agree, disagree and argue (that’s part of the fun!), but know that this chart reflects the opinion of only one person (me).

With 7 songs that are rated between 10 and 9, they’re honestly one of those groups that haven’t clicked with me. I look at the song titles, and struggle to remember any of their choruses. Maybe one day that’ll change, who knows.

Same feeling with you my friend, and I think this is most likely due to we’ve been “feed” too much stronger songs & discography during that era (2014 – 2017) where Lovelyz is struggle to open up their name in that age.

I don’t know why, but seeing the Sweetune track only (relatively) be 9.5 (a 0.5 rise) is a bit shocking. But I do think nothing beats a BoA-esque uplifting song, especially in this day & age, and Lovelyz’s version of that deserves that 10.

my second favorite group of all time, they are definitely legend status for me! their titles are amazing, my favorites being For You, Wow!, Shooting Star, and Twinkle, but i think their albums are even stronger. they are the only group where not only have i put all of their songs on my playlist, but i could sing them all too. there are only 3 songs of theirs i would rate below an 8, and even those are still enjoyable in their own right. woollim really hit it out of the park with lovelyz and they had an incredible run
