Song Review: TWS – All The Possibilities

TWS’s No Tragedy album has replicated the exact promotional strategy as last year’s Try With Us mini, leading with a more bombastic pop track and following up with a mellower highlight. I already wrote about All The Possibilities back in April and you can find that text below. But now that the track has officially been promoted with a music video, I wanted to share an update.

As expected, my affection for the track has only grown. I still prefer You, You‘s burst of colorful energy, but this is a stealth summer banger with some great melodic twists and turns. The charm of the members’ vocals is on full display, selling what could have been a generic house track in others hands.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

All The Possibilities was revealed a month earlier than the rest of the album at TWS’s most recent fancon, leading many fans (myself included) to assume that it would be promoted as an official pre-release. That never happened, though I wouldn’t be surprised if the song eventually received a music video during this album campaign. It certainly sounds like the kind of track you’d want to promote.

Compared to title track You, You‘s ebullient electro-house sound, All The Possibilities offers a drowsier take on dance music. I’ll always prefer “ebullient” over “drowsy,” so I’m glad Pledis threw their weight behind You, You. However, this is another great showcase for TWS’s slowly maturing sound. The vocals (especially Youngjae) sound incredible on All The Possibilities and the song’s measured pace allows them to unfold with full spotlight.

Atmospheric blips and bloops frame a gentle dance beat that gains momentum as we near the chorus. The vocal melody flits and flutters upward, adding a nuanced touch to what might otherwise be a simple pop track. My favorite elements — which stood out especially on headphones — are the chunky bass guitar and wispy backing vocals during the chorus. Overall, this is a great, laidback summer groove that will likely play well in the long run. I do wish the energy was a bit more explosive, though.

  1. Didnt understand your love for them at first, but TWS has clicked big time with me! Very charismatic and their voices have ao much character!

  2. Why isn’t TWS winning music shows with this comeback? I know it doesn’t measure their success, but I still want them to win as many trophies as possible. They deserve everything. 😭😭😭

      • Honestly, given all the competition at the moment two wins isn’t too bad. I’m surprised the song isn’t charting well digitally, though. Their title tracks seem to either become the biggest hits ever or a non-presence on digital charts. At least the album sales are massive, though.

        • Last Festival was the most baffling. The song sounds very very good but didn’t charted on MelOn top 100 at all. We also didn’t win any mushow during tht cb.

    • its okaay, i know we deserved more than 2 but our opponents kinda strong for this comeback and idk why our digitals lacking for this cb. maybe pledis can reflect our digitals for our next cb

      • The reason our digital is so abysmal this time are we really dont have strong fandom in Korea. That’s just it. We relied too much on general public and their taste r unpredictable. They loved PT, but shunned Last Festivals, even Overdrive. They only love Overdrive once it went viral.

Plus, it’s very easy for large fandom to skew the numbers in sites like MelOn nowadays. Just look at how Illit and Cortis skew the numbers on MelOn. Normal Korean people wouldn’t have tuned to their new songs.

We as international fans couldn’t do much about it.

        • yeah you mean payola from hy*e? i heard pledis got less payola because you know “not in hy*e favourite” thats why we as fans are struggling with charts and views on MV

          • TWS not getting like u said Cortis-19 virus is proof they stood by to their musics, same as TXT. But as result we will always getting the lease attention from them.

      • Their fandom obviously skew the numbers on the charts. So suspicious. That song and tht Illit new song wouldnt be that high on the charts normally. It has become easier to skew the numbes on MelOn nowadays.

  3. Absolutely love this song, maybe even more than You, You! Vocals are stunning, love the melodies, and the inclusion of a short dance break + outro really does go a long way in making sure the song feels complete compared to You, You, where unfortunately even though I like the song a lot, weeks later I’m still a bit frustrated every time I hear how abruptly the song just ends…

  4. I think its an easy breezy fine song, I like it but not 9 like it. Possibly low to mid 8’s? Its just so basic house to me, even it is labelled kpop. Sounds like filler.

  5. After a month of listening, it still feels like just a flat 8 to me. I wonder if anyone else who released this song could only rate it a 8.5 at most.
