The floodgates are about to re-open for K-pop in a week’s time, but before that we have another dry week of mainly pre-releases and unpromoted fare. On the bright side, pre-releases are often stronger than K-pop’s title tracks and follow-ups. Understandably, artists want to lead with their best material. Hopefully that’s not the case with ALLDAY PROJECT because Talk is incredibly disappointing.
Once you’ve released a song as great as One More Time, you’ve set yourself a precedent. Alas, ALLDAY PROJECT’s music continues to be more concerned with posturing and chanting than the big, bold melodies that should be their bread and butter. If ever there was a group primed to revitalize the silly/stupid early-2010s Black Eyed Peas-esque EDM, it’s them. Unfortunately, K-pop listeners aren’t allowed to have fun in 2026. We must be admonished about how great and awesome artists are and how anyone who says otherwise is a hater. It’s tiresome. It’s stale. And quite frankly, it’s astoundingly immature.
My thoughts about Talk might be different if the song itself did anything interesting. After all, great music tends to paint over any lyrical banalities. Sadly, the song’s ideas begin and end with the group shouting “all they do is talk, talk, talk, talk, talk” over a gurgling, muddled beat. It’s an ugly hook, repeated often. And when the melodic pre-chorus appears, it’s throwaway connective tissue rather than a memorable highlight of its own. Talk is thoroughly unenjoyable from start to finish — an absolute chore to get through and one of ALLDAY PROJECT’s worst songs.

(⸝⸝>⩊<⸝⸝) And of course, add in a few “blah blah blah”s for the Mandatory Onamotopoeia In A Braggadocious Clap Back At Haters Song™️ and your YG/TBL-style outro or dance break and we perfected the art of Braggadocious Clap Back At Haters Song™️, hooray! Also it’s worth mentioning I’m neutral on the group. I can’t care enough about controversy unless it’s something severe like that of Kris Wu, Burning Sun, or Taeil

Completely justified rating. The only redeeming quality of the song is Bailey’s and Woochan’s rap flows in the second verse. That one part is not enough to salvage this trainwreck production and songwriting though. 4.5 (6, 4, 4, 4)

This group can become so exciting since they have great dynamics of rappers/dancers/vocalist (Youngseo). Famous, One More Time, and (unpopular opinion here) Look at Me just proved that. I wish their title track is a banger just like those three.
