Snow Man’s Dangerholic acts as the ending theme to member Meguro Ren’s newest drama Trillion Game. The series’ fast, freewheeling energy requires an equally splashy, confident song. Dangerholic delivers this energy, stuffed with brass and guitar and big, singalong hooks.

The guys have performed shortened versions of this song for weeks now, so I’m not coming into Dangerholic blind. Fortunately, the full track only enhances the luster of the short edit. Verse two is equally exciting as verse one, punctuated by addictive shots of exclamatory backing vocals. The beat is relentless throughout, matching well with the rapped verses.

However, Dangerholic‘s true highlight is its bounding chorus. The brass is especially potent here, backing an exciting series of melodies delivered largely in unison. There’s a sense of cinematic immensity to this segment that makes for a satisfying centerpiece. It captures the energy of a finely-choreographed action scene, doled out with panache. The hooks aren’t as memorable during the verses, but they shine spotlight on the group’s always-engaging personality. Overall, Dangerholic is another winner to add to Snow Man’s solid series of 2023 hits.
