GOT7’s Youngjae previously impressed with groovy tracks Vibin’ and Sugar, belying his main vocal status with more subtle turns that highlighted his skills as a performer. Do It is another restrained vibe, but this time the end product is just too slight for me.
Do It would make for nice background music. It’s calming and just rhythmic enough to get your head nodding. Youngjae’s voice wraps around the production with confidence and I love when he brings falsetto into the arrangement. It’s all very tasteful and well-delivered, but there’s not enough oomph behind any of the song’s elements to fully capture my attention. Funny enough, this chilled-out track is accompanied by a shockingly bombastic music video. Talk about a mismatch!

Okay, this song is whatever, but the video is one of the best of this year!

I was going to skip this because I generally don’t like these kinds of songs, but I’m glad I didn’t because the MV is a trip for sure! It kind of reminds me how there was so much going on Lee Chanhyuk’s Panorama compared to the actual song.

Very pleasant, good for a car ride. Best thing is that I’m reminded how much I like young jae’s voice
