Rather than contain my “Risers and Fallers” feature to a single post in June, I’m going to share a bite-sized version at the end of each month. This will let me account for more songs and make a nice lead-in to the monthly round-up post.
I anticipate most of these ratings adjustments will be negligible: a 0.5 shift here, a 0.25 shift there. But, it’s a fun way to keep track of how my feelings on songs have changed over time – as well as which tracks currently have momentum on my playlist.
And remember, just because a song is marked as a “faller” doesn’t mean I hate it! Falling from a “9” to an “8.75” is no shame. 9+ rated songs occupy a totally different playlist in my music library, so I’m pretty particular about what qualifies. It’s a high bar.

Sorry Nick, I might be too self-absorbed right now but I was 101% sure that Like You Better would be a riser for you since both Like You Better and Style can never stay on the same rating. Is there a reason why it’s not a riser? I’m just curious.

Oh, I’ve got another question. What was the biggest jump in rating have you ever gave to a song?

Could be something like UP10TION’s Tonight, which was an 8.5 rating that eventually rose to a 10. Or for J-Pop, Kis-My-Ft2’s Gravity, which embarrassingly started as an 8.25 before gradually becoming one of my favorite songs of all time. I think it’s the only song on here that has a normal review and a “legendary song” review.
Most of the craziest ratings come from early on in the blog’s history.

NouerA – Myself and BNB…I think they are both Bsides but they have been playing nonstop and I love them both!!!
Ateez – In Your Fantasy…amazing song and it gets better and better every time I listen to it.
Nowz – Everglow…same thing, it gets better and better every time I listen to it
OX:N – You…I think this is from June but I find this song so satisfying and I’m loving it.
1Verse – Shattered…at first I was a little tentative with this sound for them but within a few listens I appreciate how well executed it is. I wish I could see them in music shows.
I almost never have FALLERS but for some reason this month I had these two:
Close Your Eyes – Snowy Summer…I still like it but I don’t look for it as much as I thought I would.
NCTDream – BTTF…the shouty parts actually got more annoying

Rendezvous all the way past 9 to 9.25, I know that’s right!!! That song started out good and only grows on me with every listen. Certainly the best survival show debut since zb1’s In Bloom.
