THIS WEEK IN K-POP: Ranking the New Releases from January 26 – February 1

At the end of each month, I compile my top three K-pop title tracks and list a ton of honorable mentions. In 2025, I thought I’d try something new and add a weekly feature to supplement my monthly round-up. Each Sunday, I’ll offer a compendium of the week’s new releases featured on the blog. And even more than that, I’ll attempt to rank them from my least-to-most-liked. I invite you to share your own rankings as well. The comments section of these posts is also a great spot to discuss anything that has happened in K-pop during the week.

Make sure to click on the title of any release to read the full review and see its initial rating. Consider this your one stop Bias List shop each and every Sunday!

  4. So Nick, the new SM gg was just announced to debut with a single album called The Chase, and first thing that popped up in my brain was The Chaser. I watched the trailer for the group, and have been crossing my fingers that we don’t get a dreaded ‘beige-pop’ release. Usually trailer instrumentals don’t exactly correlate with the final product/song, but it certainly didn’t inspire much confidence.
Oh, Nick, thanks to you I discovered Road-B’s Nonstop, and it has become my most listened to song of the month!
