Song Review: CRAVITY – Lemonade Fever

Repackage albums aren’t as common in K-pop as they used to be, but I’ve always liked them. They give artists a chance for an ultra-quick comeback and extend the promotional life of a project. CRAVITY’s Dare To Crave was already a very strong album with a killer title track, but now they’ve extended it with an epilogue led by new single Lemonade Fever.

CRAVITY’s music has enjoyed a renaissance this year and Lemonade Fever builds upon everything that made Set Net G0 so successful. As its title suggests, the song is ultra refreshing and energetic — the kind of thing you’d expect to hear released during the summer. I adore this sound, but it’s easy to fall into a generic boy group template with this style of upbeat funk. Fortunately, Lemonade Fever does two things very right. First, it builds to a whopper of a chorus. I’m already obsessed with the melodic lift the track delivers here, underlined by a percolating groove that gives it plenty of heft. This hook is simple but incredibly potent and hits like an absolute joy bomb.

Second, Lemonade Fever tempers its buoyancy with needed grit. This comes courtesy of the post-chorus hook with its distorted guitar. The producers wisely let this moment breathe, getting as much from the riff as they can. This segment reminds me of RIIZE’s Boom Boom Bass but scuzzier. The song really doesn’t put a foot wrong, adding an exciting bridge and bolstering the final chorus to send us out on a high. By their fifth year, many idol groups see diminished returns, but it feels like CRAVITY are only getting started.

  1. It sounds a lot like Riize’s Get a Guitar and Boom Boom Bass, but more grittier and bombastic. It’s an odd song given we’re in November and I am about to make soup as I type this (maybe the Southern Hemisphere would fuck with it right now ksjksjs). But I like it, Set Net G0?! was already an odd grower for me, and this one might as well join SNG soon

    8.75 (8, 9, 9, 9) just to be safe :p

  2. I LOVE THIS SONG! idk if it makes sense but it fits very well with songs like Complete by ONF or Giddy Up by The Boyz. I just wish this was the summer release and Set Net Go was the Fall release.

  3. I am also hearing Cravity’s own “Adrenaline” from a year+half ago. Which is to say that it sounds like Cravity and its a pretty good song too.

I would give it mid 8’s if only because of originality – we all here are hearing lots of other songs in this. It still is well performed, well produced, its just not very novel.

  4. Ah, another lemon song👀…that was my first reaction! But once I listened to it, I loved it. The energy and the vocals are awesome!!! They are on a roll and I’m here for it!!!!

    • Yeah, barring a few gg releases this year I’m not vibing with the overall trends. I like big, bombastic melodies with upbeat energy and the main trends for ggs at the moment seem to involve subdued, atmospheric production and lots of talking/sing-talking.

        • Fromis_9’s Like You Better is a real contender, every listen reaffirms how good this song is start to finish.

Not as much on this blog, but BV by Nmixx has done very well on the charts since release, (so did KAM to a lesser extent) and especially if B-sides are in the running there are so many amazing songs to choose from they released in 2025.

Then, if we all can be honest, “Golden” and “What it sounds like” have both proven over time they were extremely well made songs and have gotten their flowers elsewhere even if not on this blog.

Then you’ve had quality comebacks from Yeji, Chuu, Yves, Babymonster, i-dle, etc that are likely just out of top tier range. (at least for me)

I think only fromis_9 has any shot at featuring in the top10 on this blog, but this year has still been great for gg releases.

  5. Yes yes yes yes yes! I haven’t been this taken by a Cravity title track instantly in what feels like forever (maybe since Groovy or even Adrenaline).

I also thought about Boom Boom Bass and the fact that in their fifth year their team are giving them what seem to be their best singles, I thought when I became a fan that they would be slowing down by now but apparently, the changing of their creative team might be why.

On my Cravity song ranking list Lemonade Fever has debuted in 7th, and is the highest ranking single (Love or Die is 9th and Set Net Go should be 12th if I remember correctly). The b-sides Oxygen and Everyday are both somewhere in the high 30s-low 40s out of 90 songs.

  6. This sounds like they are back on their Adrenaline-Party Rock-Groovy track, which is what got me into them in the first place. They are just really, really good at taking a generic-sounding song and elevating it. Also love the transition from Jungmo to Allen’s rap to Woobin’s high note in the bridge. I guess there was something in the amniotic fluid after all.

  7. That guitar riff is great, and I think the song overall does a great job evoking a lemony, effervescent taste in sonic form. It sounds like I’m listening to a 7Up or Sprite commercial in the most complimentary way possible lol

  8. I feel like if a song is built on funk, it’s very unlikely to be bad 😂 where there is funk, there am I

I’m not sure about the talk-sung hook in this one, but the guitar and bass backbone and melodic chorus (pre chorus?) are excellent and have evoked multiple replays out of me
