GreatGuys’ new music video opens in a roller rink, so you know my interest is already piqued! I love a bright boy group track that’s roller-rink-ready, and Luv Luv Luv fits that template to a tee. It’s driven by tropical synth squiggles and a dance beat that (mostly) stays focused and steady.
However, this is clearly a budget version of stronger songs. Its energy is enjoyable, but the melodies aren’t memorable enough to stick and the track fails to build to a satisfying climax. It gets by on its brisk energy, amiable spirit and nostalgic sound, making it fun in the moment if not impactful in the long run.

I’ve been rooting for Great Guys for years now. They’re very hit or miss for me but I really like their personalities which is the main reason I still check them out.
I don’t know how I feel about this sound for them. I kind of wish they would lean into something similar to VAV and Monsta X’s sound. As someone mentioned, they’re adults who look like adults which I always love to see.
Off topic but where is UNVS? They’re another older group I like and they can actually sing.
