At the end of each month, I compile my top three K-pop title tracks and list a ton of honorable mentions. In 2025, I thought I’d try something new and add a weekly feature to supplement my monthly round-up. Each Sunday, I’ll offer a compendium of the week’s new releases featured on the blog. And even more than that, I’ll attempt to rank them from my least-to-most-liked. I invite you to share your own rankings as well. The comments section of these posts is also a great spot to discuss anything that has happened in K-pop during the week.

I’m also surprised, to be honest! Though I enjoy In Your Fantasy, it’s a bit flat/one-note for me. BTTF is so shouty that it somehow crosses the threshold into guilty pleasure and it has genuine peaks that I look forward to.

BTTF somehow magically manages to creep up on you! It’s to the point when I, out of nowhere, shout, GO DREAM! and start singing the chorus 😭

Since SM did not release BTTF on Spotify I have not been able to listen to the song as much, so Ateez won the first spot this week. Anyway, here are mine:

In Your Fantasy is the better song for me. Most boy group songs usually tread a fine balance between shout and melodic approach to avoid being called ‘noise music’. BTTF just kinda fall to that category for me. Good energy though
