Rather than contain my “Risers and Fallers” feature to a single post in June, I’m going to share a bite-sized version at the end of each month. This will let me account for more songs and make a nice lead-in to the monthly round-up post.
I anticipate most of these ratings adjustments will be negligible: a 0.5 shift here, a 0.25 shift there. But, it’s a fun way to keep track of how my feelings on songs have changed over time – as well as which tracks currently have momentum on my playlist.
And remember, just because a song is marked as a “faller” doesn’t mean I hate it! Falling from a “9” to an “8.75” is no shame. 9+ rated songs occupy a totally different playlist in my music library, so I’m pretty particular about what qualifies. It’s a high bar.

Oh damn, look at the Rich Man fall. I thought it’d grow on you, given it was a bit more dynamic and less monotonous than Dirty Work, so I wonder what made Rich Man fall and Dirty Work rise?
With that being said, my risers:
1- Rich Man (aespa) – 7.5 (6, 8, 8, 8) to 7.75 (7, 8, 8, 8)
2- Fashion (Cortis) – 3.5 (4, 4, 4, 2) to 4.25 (4, 5, 5, 3) (ngl, I’m starting to enjoy its apocalyptic energy 😭)
3- Late but Picasso by EPEX – 3.75 (5, 3, 4, 3) to 4.5 (5, 4, 5, 4) (in my defense again, I appreciate its trainwreck energy + I also like the hyperpop-ish bits throughout the track and I’m mostly there for the excellent bridge anyways 😭)
And Little Too Late by RE:WIND is close to rising to a 9 for me, I really love the timeless appeal and the melodies are great too
Fallers:
Ceremony (SKZ) – 7.25 (7, 8, 7, 7) to 6.5 (6, 8, 6, 6) *biggest faller*

Head Shoulders Knees Toes is the opposite for me. I liked it on the first listen but not so much after subsequent listens.
glad Body grew on you though, it’s such a fun song and I’m happy it’s seeing success! I hope this makes Starship greenlight a WJSN comeback.

I get the comparison, but imo there’s just so much more to like about Bag Bad Back than HSKT 😭

They’re very comparable to me as well. I like both, and I’ve actually come to love the RIIZE song. I weirdly might prefer it to Fly Up, which is usually much more to my taste. I don’t know what’s going on with me this year haha

Fly up never did anything for me but I am obsessed with bag bad back. I never remember the title though, I just type “Riize bag” on the spotify search lmao

My riser this month is MonstaX’ Do What I Want. I honestly did not pay attention to the song after that first listen because of the horrible background sound/sample, but the other day I actually listened to it and it turns out it did not bother me as much as I thought, and the vocal parts are just what I love about them. All of a sudden I kept singing it all day😅.
Also, Lost from Lun8 grew on me
