There are better people than me to recount the long, sordid saga of LOONA’s relationship with former agency Blockberry Creative. Suffice it to say, there are five members remaining and they’ve re-formed as “Loossemble” — one of the most unfortunate group names I’ve heard in some time. Fresh starts like this have worked for other popular groups, but there’s a fair amount of risk in the rebranding.
Debut single Sensitive sounds like a few LOONA songs thrown in a blender. It’s not as boisterous as tracks like So What, yet it pulses forward with a similar confidence. The vocals are smooth and stylish, while the percussion hits hard. It’s a nice middle ground, adding just enough new elements to help Loossemble stand on their own. The slapping beat and rhythm guitar feel especially fresh for this group, even if they’re quite trendy within K-pop as a whole.
I’m not sure how I feel about Sensitive‘s chorus. Its phrasing and rhythm bring a satisfying sense of propulsion and the girls’ aloof delivery sells the vibe. However, these kind of spoken-word hooks tend to age poorly for me. And with much of the track built on sing-talk, I’m worried there’s not enough range to keep me interested in the long run. We’ll see how that bears out, but for today this is quirky fun.

I can’t get over freakin’ “Loossemble”, I’m SORRY. How’d we get from “Loona” (pretty, meaningful, mystical-sounding) to *this*……….

I suppose they were thinking to assemble “Loona” with “Ensemble”, but the final version doesn’t have a semblance of anything in particular.
There is nothing wrong with the song, but it just doesn’t grab me. I wish them all the best of luck with the reboot.

Yeah I don’t mind Loossemble for the album title but the group name is…..well, I STILL love my girls and that’s the important part LOL
The song is fresh and fun and Yves even wrote one of the songs for the mini album & sales are really good for them for first day already so I am wishing them & OEC many successful comebacks

Loossemble is not a good name, but worse named groups released songs TODAY

it’s definitely the year of terrible (mostly girl) group names, with ELZ UP, I’LL-IT and Loossemble. the song is okay, however just like OEC’s Version Up the album is very LOONA which I’m pleased to hear. Newtopia in particular is pretty good.

Fun song but I’ll just say something that I don’t really like
A: the rap was the weakest part of the song
B: may I speak to executive who greenlit that name pls
The song is fun. 8.5/10

First of all I am so pleased to hear the more hidden members of LOONA being gathered in one group and treated quite fairly now. Sensitive might not be my favourite track of the album (COLOURING TOOK THAT CAKE) but it’s a good start for the group nonetheless, at least showcasing what wasn’t being showcased back in LOONA. They can start to branch into a Red Velvet sound with New Jeans kind of sensibility after this — I think that will suit them well.

I really want these young women to do well and this is a fun beginning. Even I know who they are and about the debacle with BBC soooooo…adding it to a playlist. Bite me @ evil execs! It’s fun, it bops, and they sound great, which are pretty much my requirements from kpop.

I don’t see anything wrong with the name “Loossemble”. It’s actually pretty cool that they still have “LOONA” in their name. I personally think the worst group name in K-pop is “EL7Z UP”, which doesn’t roll off the tongue very well. Anyway, song’s great and I look forward to more of their music. I also look forward to the day all 12 members of LOONA can make music together again.

“Loossemble” comes from LOONA + assemble. (I agree that it’s a dud of a name.)
For me, the LOONA song that’s most like “Sensitive“ is “Why Not?” It’s got a similar bright and loopy feeling.

ok so just for context if u look at loonas color coded lyrics/line distributions u see the 5 members in this group (vivi hyeju hyunjin gowon and yeojin) werent rlly given much to do in the groups songs and were backseated in favor of loonas more skilled vocalists so its rlly nice to see them finally get the spotlight they deserve
